What is a Distribution Project?

Last Updated: Jul 29, 2013 01:08PM CDT
A Distribution Project is a project used to distribute content to users for Read-Only and Print-Only purposes. A Distribution Project is created upon creating a new project. Note the "Is this a Distribution Project?" check mark field.

Content within other projects may be copied into a Distribution Project. Linked content copied into a Distribution Project are actually links back to the content within the project(s) it resides. Content within a Distribution Project is denoted with a small "chain link" icon in the bottom left corner of the file's image icon.

Content copied from other projects into a Distribution Project can not be edited or annotated; it can only be viewed, downloaded or printed by the members of that Distribution Project.

When the original content that was copied into a Distribution Project(s) is edited, updated or replaced within the source project(s) it was copied from, it will automatically be updated across all the distribution projects the content was copied to.
